Welcome to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church!
It has been said that “religion is for the weak.” Well, that’s true! No one escapes the problems of guilt, shame, sickness, death and grave. All of us prove weak when faced with the barriers and burdens of mortal life.
Everyone needs a solution to these enemies of mankind. Where do we find true life and even eternal life? The solution comes to us through the Man Jesus Christ and the gifts of God that He brings by His preaching, teaching, death on the cross, and resurrection from the grave. We all need that “religion” known as Christianity.
St. John’s congregation was established in 1905. Our members invite you to join in hearing the Word of God from the Holy Bible. Investigate the mysteries of God in His Word and Sacraments. Meet neighbours and make new friends in the community. Find your church home here.
During the summer months, Bible class and Sunday school are on break, but we offer a Vacation Bible School for all children. For the women, one may participate in mission projects, Bible study, and social times offered through our Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
God’s Word is for all people regardless of their condition or situation:
For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. He who believes in Him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God (John 3:16-18).
